F.A.S.T.
FUNDAMENTAL

A central or primary rule or principle on which something is based.

 

We focus on building a foundation on which athletes can develop and improve upon through the years. We have a long term vision for each individual athlete, while still striving for immediate improvement.

F.A.S.T.
STRENGTH

A beneficial quality or attribute of a person; measurable; how much force can be produced.

                     

We focus on building our athletes' strength levels appropriate for their age level for multiple reasons: injury reduction, increased stability of joints, ability to apply a greater amount of force for acceleration and velocity.  

 F.A.S.T.
AGILITY

The ability to move quickly and easily, to think and understand quickly.

 

We work on acceleration, deceleration, change of direction, and also help with thinking process through movement patterns to help increase reaction time. 

F.A.S.T.
TRAINING

The action of teaching a person a particular skill or type of behavior.

                     

We focus on helping athletes learn various skill-sets particular to their sport through movements.  We train up each athlete to be respectful, hardworking, and above all, a great teammate.

Coach Cody Jones

 

Coach Jones graduated from UT Tyler with a Bachelors in Kinesiology, pitching for the Patriots Baseball Organization and winning 1 conference championship and 3 divisional championships.

 

Professionally, Coach Jones served as a strength coach at UT Tyler while also working as a performance coach at APEC head quarters in Tyler, TX. During that time he implemented training systems for the three #1 nationally ranked teams (Softball, Baseball, Basketball). Coach Jones was also an integral part of conference championships in men's and women's cross country, women's soccer, women's basketball, men's and women's track and field. 

 

Coach Jones worked at APEC in Fort Worth as lead coach on MLB/MiLB training, while also assisting with APEC’s NFL Combine/ProDay training classes (which has had over 10 draft picks in the past 2 years).  Coach Jones has experience working with NFL, MLB and has helped coach college programs to conference and national championships.
